BWI Business Partnership wins international award

The BWI Business Partnership Inc.'s Web site has won an International Mercury Award for Interactive Media. MerComm Inc., an independent organization dedicated to establishing and promoting high standards in international communications, honored the partnership for its Web site, www.bwipartner.org. The site was developed to create a positive business image for the area around Baltimore-Washington International Airport, which partnership officials say does not have a distinct national image. They have recommended a name for the region, petitioned the governor for highway signs and produced attention-getters, including the Web site, to promote the area.
