Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Howard County.

Elkridge: Super Fresh store at Elkridge Corners: A robber approached a cashier about 10: 15 p.m. Saturday and displayed a handgun. The clerk gave the man about $350. The robber then fled.

Ellicott City: 9600 block of Frederick Road: Someone entered a home and stole two handguns and a rifle between October and Friday.

King's Contrivance: Park and Ride lot at Broken Land Parkway and Route 32: At 12: 20 a.m. Saturday, two robbers approached a woman who had stopped because of car trouble. One displayed a black handgun, punched the woman in the stomach and took about $50.

Owen Brown: 6900 block of Kilrain Court: A burglar entered a home through garage door and removed a bicycle between Dec. 11 and Friday.

Long Reach: 6000 block of Major's Lane: A burglar cut open a sliding, glass door's screen, broke into the apartment Friday and took a camcorder, jewelry and a compact disc player.

Dorsey's Search: 4500 block of Speedwell Court: Someone entered an open garage Sunday afternoon and stole two bicycles, one of which was broken and left behind.

Harper's Choice: 11700 block of Lightfall Court: Someone entered a home by smashing open a rear patio door, stole a television, videocassette recorder, $175 and a 1997 Ford Explorer license 894643M.

Harper's Choice: 5000 block of Three Kings Lane: A burglar entered a home through a sliding glass door and stole a home theater system Sunday evening.

North Laurel: A robber displaying a handgun approached tTC man using a NationsBank automated teller machine about 6: 35 p.m. Sunday, took $55 from the victim and demanded another $1,000. After the victim was unable to withdraw that amount, the suspect fled on a bicycle with the victim's ATM card.
