Hatch is president of Residential Sales Council

The Residential Sales Council, an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors, elected Ed Hatch president during its recent national convention in Chicago.

Hatch is president of Ed Hatch Seminars of Greenbelt and a senior instructor for the council. He also teaches classes for the Maryland Graduate Realtors Institute.

As president, Hatch is chairman of the RSC board of governors and executive committee. He also is a member of the Realtors National Marketing Institute board of directors.

Other new officers are Toni Sherman of Lombard, Ill., president-elect; and Doug Richards of Midvale, Utah, financial vice president.

Open house today at Liberty Village

Liberty Village, a co-housing community, is holding a holiday open house with refreshments, a Colonial home tour, music and entertainment from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. today at 12301 Liberty Road in Libertytown.

Auction & Estate Representatives Inc., a full-service appraisal and real estate company, has moved from Baltimore to 1010 Dulaney Valley Road, Towson. Anne F. von Forthuber, company president, is the host of "Have Gavel, Will Travel," a radio talk show on WCBM-680. She also teaches continuing education courses through the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors.

Coldwell Banker Grempler Realty said Marian Sweeney, a sales associates in the Bel Air/Festival office, earned the Accredited Buyer Representative designation from the National Association of Realtors.

Harkins Builders of Silver Spring is currently rehabilitating Marlborough Apartments in Baltimore. The 10-story building has 227 units for the elderly. Harkins will clean the brick and stone exterior; replace the roof and mechanical systems; refinish each apartment; and install landscaping, lights and fencing.

O'Conor, Piper & Flynn Realtors said Ruth Tipton, a sales associate with its Bel Air office, earned the Accredited Buyer Representative designation from the National Association of Realtors.

On the move

Oak Crest Village Retirement Community appointed Donna Klepsig residential services coordinator. Klepsig has as bachelor of arts in sociology from Towson University and a master's in social work from the University of Maryland.

O'Conor, Piper & Flynn Realtors said Sally Snowberger joined its Glen Burnie office as a sales associate. She is a member of the Distinguished Sales Club of Prince George's County.

O'Conor, Piper & Flynn Realtors named Scott Lederer regional manager of its new home division. Lederer holds a bachelor of arts from Loyola College. He is a member of the Carroll and Harford County Associations of Realtors.

PHH Mortgage Services of Mount Laurel, N.J., appointed Roderick K. Gaines national vice president for community mortgage programs, financial institutions and affinity group sales. He recently served as a vice president at First Interstate Bank of California.
