Police adding patrols to search for rapist

December 17, 1997|BY A SUN STAFF WRITER

Police have increased patrols in an area of East Baltimore, seeking a man who raped four females -- two of them teen-agers -- near Green Mount Cemetery between Nov. 9 and Monday, Agent Ragina Cooper, a police spokeswoman, said yesterday.

Cooper said the man had a knife or handgun, or implied he was armed, and forced each victim into one of two vacant houses in the 1700 block of Ensor St. She said he robbed two of the victims, whose ages range from 15 to 21. She said the man is in his late teens or early 20s, is about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds. Anyone with information should call the Eastern District at 410-396-2433.
