Washington wrangles win from Widener

Kerry Lomax scored a game-high 19 points as the Washington College women's team rallied to defeat Widener, 50-47, yesterday at the Aimee Williard Tournament in Chester, Pa.

Kristen Snell, who was voted the tournament's Most Valuable Player, scored 10 for the Shoremen (5-2). Widener's Joyce Johnson scored a team-high 13.

Washington trailed 23-20 at halftime but rallied with seven three-point shots and holding the Pioneers (2-7) to 17-percent shooting (4-for-24) in the second half.
