Westminster High School announces names of 11th-graders with all A's in 1st quarter

Westminster High School has announced its honor roll for the first quarter of the academic year.

Eleventh-graders earning all A's on their report card were: William Arnold, Alyssa Banks, Erin Barata, Elizabeth Beck, Christopher Brothers, Kyle Burger, Hezekiah Carty, Donna Cattaneo, Jennifer Cooke, Andrea Drzewianowski, Amanda Eakle, Jason Eckard, Kelli Eckert, Danie Engles.

Also, Nicholas Farver, Adam Fisher, Carly Forton, April Fowble, Kellie Gombeski, Sean Javins, Kelly Klima, Rebecca Kuchera, Amanda Kuhl, Andrew Leister, Matthew Marrichi, Jennifer McCoy, Samuel Nixon, Claire Panek, Eric Pentenbrink, Daniel Phillips.

Also, Sara Redmond, Jason Santucci, Kimberly Schlipper, Carrie Schuerholz, Robert Smith, Ryan Stewart, Thomas Sykes, Shannon Szymanski, Holly Thompson, Beth Vigliotti and John Yingling.

Westminster senior wins Carson Scholars Award

Jennifer Lynn Larkin, a Westminster High School senior, has received the Carson Scholars Award, a $1,000 scholarship sponsored by Dr. Benjamin S. Carson, a neurosurgeon at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and his wife, Candy.

The scholarship is based on academic and humanitarian achievement. Jennifer received the award at a banquet at the Harborplace Renaissance Hotel.

The daughter of Steve and Debbie Larkin of Westminster, Jennifer will attend Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga.


Westminster: Firefighters responded at 12: 20 p.m. Thursday to a wash detail at Bowersox and Stone Chapel roads. Units were out 29 minutes.
