Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Central District

Stolen car: A green 1991 Ford Crown Victoria with tags SRH 115 was stolen Tuesday in the first block of N. Paca St.

Southern District

Cutting: A 21-year-old woman was in the 1200 block of Ostend St. on Tuesday when another woman cut her on the right leg with a knife. The victim was treated at University of Maryland Medical Center. No arrest had been made.

Burglary: A remote control device, battery charger and die casts for model cars, all valued at more than $300, were stolen Monday from Your Hobby Center in the 400 block of E. Patapsco Ave.

Western District

Robbery: A 27-year-old woman was in the 1900 block of Gwynns Falls Parkway about 9: 30 p.m. Tuesday when a gunman robbed her of several pieces of jewelry, all valued at nearly $1,000.

Eastern District

Stolen car: Theft: Tools valued at nearly $200 were stolen Tuesday from a Jeep Cherokee parked behind the Old Town fire station in the 1100 block of Hillen St. The property belonged to a fire lieutenant stationed at the firehouse.

Northwestern District

Shooting: An 18-year-old man was in the 3100 block of Oakfield Ave. about 7 p.m. Tuesday when several gunshots were fired from a car with three men. The victim was shot in the abdomen and treated at Sinai Hospital.

Northern District

Theft from vehicle: Fifty dollars in cash and coins were stolen Tuesday from a Banner Cab parked in the 2900 block of Dupont Ave.

Essex Precinct

Burglary: A furnace, television, vacuum cleaner, electric heater and other items, all valued at more than $700, were stolen between September 1996 and Friday from a house under renovation in the 300 block of Sollers Point Road.

Parkville Precinct

Robbery: Three men, one armed with a rifle, robbed the 7-Eleven store in the 7100 block of Darlington Drive about 3: 35 a.m. Tuesday. Before fleeing with cash, the men destroyed the store's security camera.

Robbery: A man was in a men's room at North Plaza Mall in the 8900 block of Waltham Woods Road about 7: 30 p.m. Tuesday when two other men, one armed with a carton cutter, entered and demanded his money. When he refused, they struck him with their fists and stole a shopping bag he was carrying that contained items valued at more than $120. Outside the restroom, the two robbers were joined by a third man who had acted as a lookout.

Towson Precinct

RTC Robbery: An 89-year-old woman was in the 700 block of Camberley Court about 8: 45 p.m. Tuesday when a man knocked her to the pavement and stole her purse containing cash and property, all of unknown value.

Garrison Precinct

Arson/arrests: Two teen-age boys have been arrested and charged with setting fire to an exterior door of a house in the 4100 block of Dutch Mill Road in Randallstown Tuesday night. Damage was described as minor and no injuries were reported.

Wilkens Precinct

Robbery/arrest: A man who implied he had a handgun robbed Booth's Gas Plus, in the 400 block of Frederick Road, of $60 about 10: 20 p.m. Tuesday. A short time later and several blocks away, police arrested a man who fit the robber's description. Charged with armed robbery was John Cromwell, 21, of the 700 block of Woodsdale Road, Catonsville. Police said money believed taken in the robbery was recovered.

For the Record

Inmate stabbed: Darien Smith, 27, an inmate at the Baltimore City Detention Center, was stabbed several times about 11 a.m. yesterday , state police at the Glen Burnie barracks reported. Smith, whose condition was not available, was in a group of inmates in Section N-114 at the jail in the 400 block of E. Eager St. when the incident occurred. Police said they had no suspect and knew of no motive for the stabbing.
