Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Howard County.

Elkridge: U.S. 1 and Montgomery Road: A man handed a note to a cashier at a Super Fresh announcing a robbery at 9: 53 p.m. Monday. The thief stuck his hand inside his clothing, implying he had a weapon, and the clerk handed over $250. Police are seeking a black male, 6 feet 1 inch tall, 200 pounds, with a beard and mustache, wearing glasses, dark blue jacket and multicolored hat.

Elkridge: 6400 block of Julie Ann Drive: Someone stole siding, which was placed inside a home under construction, between Friday and Monday.

Ellicott City: 9200 block of Baltimore National Pike: Someone stole a 1997 GMC truck bearing a Pepsi logo about 10: 45 a.m. Monday.

Kings Contrivance: 7100 block of Minstrel Way: A thief threw a rock through the glass window of Papa Auto Parts and stole $50. Police suspect three men in a gold-colored Nissan with tinted windows.

Kings Contrivance: 7100 block of Minstrel Way: Someone smashed a window of Joe's Place, pulled out the alarm wiring and removed a speaker from the wall. The thieves ransacked the building and took cash. Police suspect the same men in the auto parts break-in.

Long Reach: 8800 block of Tamebird Court: A white 1982 BTC Cadillac was stolen about 7: 45 a.m. Tuesday.

Harper's Choice: 5400 block of Harper's Farm Road: A thief pried open a front door and stole a watch and costume jewelry Friday afternoon.
