Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.
Southern District
Theft: A generator and 24 compact discs, all valued at more than $400, were stolen Sunday from a 1997 Chevrolet parked in the 1600 block of Johnson St.
Southwestern District
Robberies: Three men were in the 600 block of Poplar Grove St. about 1 a.m. Sunday when two other men, one with a handgun, robbed them of two pagers, a leather jacket and more than $30.
Western District
Assault: Two men were arguing in the first block of N. Smallwood St. when one of them struck the other in the head with a golf club Sunday night. The victim was treated at Bon Secours Hospital. No arrest had been made.
Northwestern District
Robbery: An Eastern Shore woman was in the 6600 block of Eberle Drive about 8: 30 p.m. Sunday when a man approached her from behind and stole her purse containing cash and property valued at more than $70.
Eastern District
Destruction of property: Two men were arguing in the 1900 block of Sapp St. on Sunday night when one shattered the windows of the other's Volkswagen, causing nearly $1,000 in damage. A man, 42, was arrested and charged with destruction of property.
Northern District
Stolen car: A blue 1995 Jeep Cherokee with tags 754960M was stolen Sunday in the 4400 block of Grandview Ave.
Woodlawn Precinct
Assault: Three teen-age boys were in the 1700 block of Kirkwood Road about 8 p.m. Sunday when a man got out of a car and asked whether they had been at a nearby convenience store. Before they could reply, the man pulled out a semiautomatic handgun and fired several shots. No one was wounded.
White Marsh Precinct
Stolen car: A blue 1984 Pontiac with tags ETA 904 was stolen Sunday in the 6000 block of Barstow Road.
Towson Precinct
Burglary: An undisclosed sum of money was stolen from a safe at Baltimore Airport Shuttle in the 1000 block of Taylor Ave. on Sunday.
Robbery: A woman was leaving her car in the first block of RTC Summit Green Court about 5 p.m. Sunday when a man shoved her aside and stole her purse containing $40, credit cards and other property.

Homicide victim identified: City police have identified Gary Eugene Watkins, 33, of the 2000 block of Orleans St. as the man who was shot in the 2000 block of Greenmount Ave. about 3: 55 p.m. Sunday and died about 5: 15 p.m. at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
