Neighborhood portraits

December 04, 1997|By John Dorsey

If you go out of your house one sunny day and see someone painting a picture of a house or houses in your block, it just might be Crystal Moll. She has been creating urban scenes for years and making bits and pieces of Baltimore look neat, clean and cheerful. And the nice thing about doing portraits of houses, one would guess, is that they don't fidget. Moll has shown her work from Philadelphia to Atlanta, and beginning today, with an opening at 5 p.m., Moll's work will be featured in the Folk Art Gallery's Christmas show. Who knows -- it's just possible your own house has sat for Moll and will be waiting to greet you in her show.

At the Folk Art Gallery, 511 North Charles St., through Dec. 31. 11: 30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays and extended holiday hours are expected. For information, call 410-547-6870.
