Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Eastern District

Theft: A city firefighter's helmet valued at $300 was stolen Saturday from a Company 15 firetruck at the scene of a minor house fire in the 2200 block of E. Eager St. The helmet was reported taken from the truck's rear jump seat.

Theft/arrest: A 46-year-old man was arrested Saturday when he tried to leave the Stop, Shop & Save in the 2500 block of E. Monument St. allegedly without paying for two packages of candles valued at less than $3.

Theft: After a man helped an elderly woman into her house in the 1500 block of N. Ellwood Ave. on Saturday, he stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at $50. The woman was not injured.

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 800 block of N. Milton Ave. through a rear door Saturday and stole clothing valued at more than $400.

Robbery: A woman was leaving a gas station in the 2300 block of Harford Road on foot about 6 p.m. Saturday when a man robbed her of $15 worth of Maryland Lottery tickets.

Aggravated assault: Police were seeking a woman who threw a pan containing water and bleach onto the face of another woman during an argument Saturday in the 1700 block of Latrobe St. The victim was treated at the scene.

Western District

Burglary: A television and stereo amplifier, both valued at more than $200, were stolen Saturday from a house in the 2300 block of Whittier Ave.

Drug arrest: Police arrested an 18-year-old man on Ridgehill Avenue on Saturday and found he was carrying two gelatin capsules containing suspected cocaine and a glass vial with suspected heroin. He was charged with drug possession and held pending a bail hearing.

Parkville Precinct

Robbery: A woman was about to enter her car in the 9800 block of Homeland Ave. about 8: 30 p.m. Saturday when she was assaulted by a man who stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at $50.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 1500 block of Clearwood Road through a dining-room window Saturday and ransacked several rooms. It was not known what was stolen.

Burglary: Between Friday night and Saturday morning, someone broke into Casa Mia's pizza in the 1700 block of Taylor Ave. after breaking a window and stole a cigarette machine containing cigarettes and money.

Burglary/shooting: After a man broke into a vacant house in the first block of Venus Court about 6: 30 p.m. Saturday, he fired several shots. One of them pierced a window, traveled several yards and pierced the door of a nearby house. No one was injured, police said.

Garrison Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered the NeighborCare pharmacy in the 700 block of Main St. in Reisterstown between Friday night and Saturday morning and stole narcotics and prescription medications.
