McCormick names Newman compensation manager

McCormick & Co., the Hunt Valley-based international spice and flavorings maker, has appointed Joanne S. Newman compensation manager for corporate human resources. She will design and manage the company's salary, bonus, stock option and other incentives programs. The Lutherville resident is an MBA candidate at Loyola College and is active in several professional organizations, including the American Compensation Association.

Frank Williams Jr. joins Acme Paper & Supply

Acme Paper & Supply Co. has hired Frank E. Williams Jr. as a sales representative in the janitorial maintenance division. The food service and industrial supplies firm is in Savage. A Laurel resident, Williams is a graduate of George Washington University and a volunteer with the Boys and Girls Homes of Maryland.

Joan Carlisle appointed vice president at Doner

W. B. Doner & Co. has named Joan Carlisle to the staff as a vice president and associate media director at the advertising agency's Baltimore office, overseeing several broadcast media accounts. She previously was regional buying director for Bozell & Jacobs in Atlanta. The Laurel resident is a graduate of the University of North Carolina and is a member of the AAAA Broadcast Committee.

Banking and finance

Stockdale, Spell officers at Sandy Spring National

Sandy Spring National Bank, based in Olney, has named Sandra B. Stockdale vice president and Cheryl A. Spell assistant vice president in its investment services department.

Stockdale, who joined the bank in 1993 as sales manager, has more than 15 years in banking and is a graduate of Baltimore Institute. Spell, a master's graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, is also a licensed investment representative.

Commercial real estate

Manekin names Yealdhall an accounting manager

Manekin Corp. named Karen Yealdhall an accounting manager. She will supervise the bookkeeping staff and manage daily accounting activity for its Columbia office.

Formerly an accountant with Johns Hopkins Health System, she is a graduate of the University of Baltimore.
