Francis A. Pommett Jr., who had been president and chief executive officer of Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital, has been named senior vice president of the North Arundel Health System.
Sheldon Stein is taking over management of Mount Washington, a 102-bed pediatric and rehabilitation facility, as its chief operating officer.
The executive shifts follow the merger of Mount Washington into the North Arundel system, announced in June.
In 14 years at Mount Washington, Pommett oversaw the construction of a $17 million facility. Presiding at a time when Mount Washington's pediatric inpatient care was declining, he elected to branch out, including launching the state's only pediatric home health agency. Stein has been senior vice president of patient care operations at Mount Washington.
