Blue Jays: Rehired pitching coach Mel Queen.

Dodgers: Agreed to terms with C Tom Prince on one-year, $350,000 contract.

Padres: Signed C Jimmy Gonzalez, P Jose Parra and P Al Newman to minor-league contracts.

Pirates: Agreed to terms with C Steve Decker, IF Randy Brown and P Ken Giard on one-year contracts.

Rangers: Signed former Orioles P Scott Klingenbeck to minor-league contract. Announced two-year contract extension on working agreement with Single-A Savannah.

Tigers: Sold contract of OF Jimmy Hurst to Red Sox.

NBA: Suspended Knicks F Charles Oakley one game and fined him $7,500 for flagrantly fouling Grizzlies F Otis Thorpe and hitting him in the face in Nov. 23 game. Fined Thorpe $3,500 for elbowing Oakley. Named Bulls G Michael Jordan (37.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists in three games) Player of the Week.

Nuggets: Placed G Bryant Stith on injured list. Signed G Kiwane Garris.
