Boat beat: The crew of Toshiba is totally different from the one that finished Leg 1 in a disappointing sixth place. With a new skipper in Paul Standbridge, Toshiba crossed the finish line of Leg 2 in third place, and with a renewed focus. Toshiba began Leg 2 slowly, but Standbridge praised his Navigator Andrew Cape for making the right calls in getting the boat out of the Southern Ocean. "It was a tactical call to get out of the Southern Ocean, which Andrew did very well," Standbridge said. Despite doing so well in the tough second leg, Toshiba remains in sixth place overall. But that doesn't deter Standbridge. "We're certainly going to pull ourselves out of sixth place," he said.

Weather: Two high-pressure systems will prevail over the final days of Leg 2.
