Boat beat: Swedish Match is expected to cross the finish line off Fremantle, Western Australia, at 11: 45 GMT today to win Leg 2. The rest of the fleet is continuing to push hard and sail fast although everyone is eager to avoid any serious damage at this late stage of the leg. Conditions have calmed, and the waves are smaller, but the fleet is still averaging 13-14.9 knots. Paul Cayard, reporting from EF Language, said, "We are slowly getting the old girl back together," after fixing the spinnaker pole, some broken battens in the mainsail, and losing just .8 of a mile to Silk Cut.

Weather: A pesky Indian Ocean low will impact the fleet.
