Ralph Scott Busic, 64, sales manager

Ralph Scott Busic, sales manager for Columbia Kitchens of Maryland, died of a heart attack Nov. 15 at Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park. He was 64 and lived in Ellicott City.

Mr. Busic, who spent 40 years in the furniture industry, had been sales manager of the Jessup company since 1987.

Born and raised in Galax, Va., he earned a bachelor's degree in engineering and furniture manufacturing from North Carolina State University in 1955.

He was an elder of Catonsville Presbyterian Church, Frederick and Beechwood avenues, where a memorial service is planned for 7 p.m. Dec. 2.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, the former Norma Alderman; two daughters, Danise Busic of Alexandria, Va., and Hollace Busic Evans of Raleigh, N.C.; a sister, Janice Whitley of Galax; and a granddaughter.
