Pasadena woman killed when her truck hits car

November 21, 1997

A Pasadena woman was killed Wednesday when she lost control of her truck on Rowe Boulevard and ran into a car stopped for a signal, county police said.

Linda Lee Mrockowski, 53, of the 200 block of Dale Road was heading north on Rowe Boulevard near the ramp for U.S. 50 shortly after 2 p.m. when her 1997 Ford Ranger plowed into the rear of a 1988 Mercedes-Benz and pushed the car into a 1994 Ford Explorer, police said.

The truck veered off to the left, jumped a curb and came to rest on a grass median, police said. Paramedics treated Mrockowski at the scene, but she died at Anne Arundel Medical Center.

Elaine R. Goldenberg, 65, of the 7000 block of Harbor Village Court in Annapolis, the driver of the Mercedes, was treated for back and neck injuries at the medical center and released.

The driver of the Ford Explorer was not injured.
