Nominations sought for Howard awards

County Executive Charles I. Ecker is accepting nominations for 1997 Partnership Awards.

The award recognizes people and organizations exemplifying a collaborative approach to such problems as alcohol, tobacco and drug abuse in the county.

Nominations are sought in three categories: youth, individual and organization.

The county executive also will recognize citizens who have made outstanding contributions in these areas under a citizen recognition category.

Nominations are due by 5 p.m. Nov. 24.

Recipients will be honored at an awards program beginning at 5: 15 p.m. Dec. 11 in the Banneker Room of the George Howard Building, in Ellicott City.

Ten copies of the nomination form and a biography of the nominee of 300 words or less should be submitted to the Partnership Award Committee, Howard County Office of Substance Abuse Impact Service, 3430 Courthouse Drive, Ellicott City 21043.
