A man pistol-whipped a Glen Burnie woman outside her apartment Wednesday while his partner ripped the woman's purse from her shoulder, county police said.

Jayme L. Hendricks, 33, told police she was walking toward her apartment in Woodside Terrace about 9: 30 p.m. when two men approached.

One of them pulled out a small black handgun and began beating her on the head with it, police said. The other snatched her purse and both men fled, she told police.

Hendricks' left hand was injured as she tried to shield her head, but she was not hospitalized, police said.
