Leon Williams Johnson, 93, a retired Air Force general who won the Medal of Honor for a critical low-level raid on oil refineries in Romania during World War II, died Monday in Fairfax, Va.

Bob Jones Jr., 86, chancellor and chairman of the fundamentalist Christian Bob Jones University, died Wednesday in Greenville, S.C. He had abdominal cancer.

Helen Nichols Church, 95, a nutritionist who advised Howard Johnson on what to serve at his first restaurant, died Sunday in Lakewood, N.J.

Edward Crane Truman, 82, a composer and pianist who wrote music for network television, died of an aneurysm Nov. 1 in Los Angeles.
