Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Southern District

Shootings: Police were seeking a man armed with a semiautomatic handgun who shot three men in the 1500 block of McHenry St. about 5: 40 p.m. Wednesday. A 31-year-old man was shot in the chest and was in critical condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. The other victims, both 19, were each shot in the left leg. One was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital and the other at University of Maryland Medical Center.

Northeastern District

Burglary: Someone entered an apartment in the 6700 block of Laurelton Ave. through a front kitchen window Wednesday and stole $55.

Western District

Burglary: Someone entered Eatman's Transportation, a private bus company in the 2500 block of Woodbrook Ave., on Wednesday and stole two portable radios.

White Marsh Precinct

Embezzlement probe: Two unidentified employees of Bel Air Moving & Storage Co. Inc. in the 12200 block of Pulaski Highway are suspected of stealing an undisclosed sum of money by falsifying payroll records between Aug. 4, 1996 and Nov. 12, 1997.

Parkville Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 10000 block of Hillgreen Circle through a sliding door Wednesday and stole jewelry valued at more than $400.

Garrison Precinct

Burglary: A dishwasher and a range hood, all of unknown value, were stolen Wednesday from a house under construction in the 4300 block of Breeders Cup Circle in Randallstown.

Shooting suspect arrested: Michael Outen, 17, of the 3900 block of Pascal Ave. in Curtis Bay was arrested yesterday and charged as an adult in warrants with five counts of attempted murder in the shooting of five people, including a 9-year-old boy, outside a tavern in the 300 block of S. Calhoun St. Wednesday night. Outen was being held without bail at the Central Booking and Intake Center pending a bail review hearing.

Homicide suspect sought: Baltimore City police were seeking James Bernard Patterson, 30, whose last known address was the 500 block of S. Fulton Ave., who is charged in a warrant with first-degree murder in the shooting Sunday of an unidentified man in the 700 block of N. Denison St. Anyone with information of the suspect's whereabouts is urged to call the homicide squad at 410-396-2100.
