Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Howard County.

Ellicott City: 2500 block of Ashbrook Drive: Someone broke into a house Monday by kicking in a garage door and a door leading into the house. A shotgun, jewelry, videocassette recorder, television, fax machine and printer were stolen.

Ellicott City: 10200 block of Raleigh Tavern Lane: Jewelry, computer equipment and frozen food were stolen from a house Monday after someone kicked in the front door.

Ellicott City: 2500 block of N. Farm Drive: A fax machine, computer equipment and videocassette recorder were stolen from a house Monday or Tuesday.

Elkridge: 8000 block of Hillrise Court: Someone attempted to break into a house Tuesday by kicking out a panel in a garage door. No entry was gained.

Elkridge: 6300 block of S. Hanover Road: Someone pried open a rear door to Speeds Cycle. No entry was gained into the interior office.

Town Center: 10300 block of Little Patuxent Parkway: A green 1997 Toyota Tacoma, Maryland license plate 89E928, was stolen Monday.

Glenwood: 2400 block of Route 97: Someone broke into Glenwood Wine and Spirits and a High's store Tuesday by prying and twisting a front door lock off; $75 was taken from High's.

West Friendship: Routes 32 and 144: Two ladders were stolen from a Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. construction site between Thursday and Monday.
