Boat beat: High pressure is winning this race hands down. Sliding up from the northwest, from astern of the fleet, it has quietly latched a seas anchor onto the back of each boat. The last to get caught was the leader, and it has allowed Swedish Match to drag out to a lead of 100 miles.

Weather: Center of high pressure at 32S/08E and another at lTC 32S/42W. A zone of light winds will hold from 38S northward with south or southwesterly breezes at 8-14kts.
