Man jailed in Montgomery Co. charged in Westminster holdup

A man who is in jail in Montgomery County has been charged in an armed robbery in June of a woman who was walking in a Westminster parking lot, police said.

David A. Gregg Jr., 27, of West Main Street in Westminster is incarcerated on unrelated charges and was sent back to Montgomery County on Thursday after he was arrested on armed robbery, deadly weapon and assault charges.

Lt. Randy Barnes, a police spokesman, said the woman was grabbed by a man and threatened with a knife June 17.

After demanding money, the man ran away when a car drove into the parking lot in the first block of Charles St., he said


Westminster: Firefighters from Westminster and New Windsor responded to a smoke detector sounding in the 2100 block of Nicodemus Road at 8: 06 a.m. Thursday. Units were out 37 minutes.

Westminster: Firefighters responded to a grill on fire in the 1100 block of Canon Way at 6: 28 p.m. Thursday. Units were out 20 minutes.
