Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Howard County.

Elkridge: 5700 block of Race Road: Someone forced open a basement door and removed a television between 12: 30 p.m. and 12: 45 p.m. Wednesday.

Ellicott City: 8450 Baltimore National Pike: Someone broke out a rear window of Folkemer Photo, but security bars prevented entry Wednesday.

Oakland Mills: 6200 block of Setting Star: Someone entered an unlocked car, removed keys to a house, entered the house and took a purse and boom box Wednesday.

North Laurel: First block of Ruth Avenue: Someone pried open the front door of a mobile home and took televisions and telephones between 4 p.m. Monday and 2: 30 p.m. Wednesday.
