Second Learning for Life Weekend is scheduled at Cranberry Mall

November 06, 1997

Cranberry Mall and Lifelong Learning Council of Carroll County will present the second annual Learning for Life Weekend tomorrow through Sunday during mall hours.

This year's theme is a Book Wonderland that lets shoppers "walk" through the pages of a giant book. The pages were painted by local artists to highlight aspects of learning.

The event is a fund-raiser for Lifelong Learning Council. Shoppers may purchase, for a donation, apples to hang on the Learning for Life Tree.

Entertainment and information booths and sessions by area agencies will be featured. The schedule includes:

Friday: Division of Rehabilitation Services from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., WTTR radio broadcast from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Bureau of Aging and Carroll County public schools from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
