Boyd was a combined 28-for-30 serving with 10 aces, four kills, 65 assists and four blocks as the Eagles captured the Anne Arundel County title with a win over then-No. 12 Chesapeake-AA (3-1) and advanced to the quarterfinal round of the Class 4A East Region playoffs with a victory over then-No. 15 Westminster (3-0).

Tanardo Sharps



In a 47-7 win over Glen Burnie, Sharps ran for 290 yards and four touchdowns on 21 carries, setting school records for both career rushing yards (3,481) and touchdowns (39). The senior running back has totaled 200-plus yards in a game six times this season.

Malia Swieconek


Field hockey

Swieconek combined for 46 saves as Spalding beat then-No. 15 Friends (1-0) and tied then-No. 8 St. Paul's (0-0) and St. Mary's (1-1). The senior had a season-high 20 saves against the Gators and has allowed 27 goals in 17 games.
