Sykesville: Firefighters responded at 10: 15 a.m. Sunday to burning electrical wires along Mineral Hill Road. Units were out 29 minutes.

Sykesville: Firefighters from Winfield, Gamber and West Friendship in Howard County assisted Sykesville at 2: 30 a.m. Sunday, responding for smoke in the 7300 block of Second Ave. Units were out 40 minutes.

Sykesville: Firefighters responded at 9: 29 p.m. Saturday to a kitchen fire on Frederick Road in Howard County. Units were out 17 minutes.

Police

Eldersburg: A Sykesville resident told police that someone threw a pumpkin at his vehicle while he was driving north on Route 32 at 3: 15 p.m. Friday, smashing the windshield. Damage was estimated at $400.
