Watch out for trick-or-treaters distracted by quest for candy

October 31, 1997|By Peg Adamarczyk | Peg Adamarczyk,SPECIAL TO THE SUN

HORDES OF costumed trick-or-treaters are hoping for beautiful weather tonight, as they visit neighborhoods in this annual shakedown sugar fest.

Turn on your porch lights and stay alert if you are behind the wheel. The quest for free candy performs strange magic on children, who would otherwise pay attention when they cross the street.

Have a safe and fun-filled Halloween, Pasadena.
