Western District

Burglary: A 19-inch television, computer equipment and a compact disc player, all valued at more than $3,000, were stolen TC

Wednesday from a house in the 2100 block of N. Fulton Ave.

Rape try: A woman was in the 3500 block of Woodbrook Ave. about 11 p.m. Wednesday when a man with an unknown weapon forced her into an alley and was about to rape her when she escaped.

Northwestern District

Shooting: A man walking in the 5900 block of Reisterstown Road on Wednesday afternoon was shot in the right hand by an unknown assailant. The victim was treated at Northwest Hospital Center and released.

Robbery: A gunman robbed a man of $20 in the first block of N. Hilton St. about 11: 15 p.m. Wednesday.

Robbery: A woman was about to enter her home in the 3000 block of W. Garrison Ave. about 1 a.m. Wednesday when two men asked if they could help her. When the woman reached into her purse for her house keys, more than $100 dropped to the porch. The men picked up the money and fled.

Burglary: A videocassette recorder, jewelry, a Dunbar High School ring and shoes, all valued at nearly $800, were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 2800 block of Forest Glen Ave.

Eastern District

Assault: Police were seeking a man who struck a woman in the face with a brick Wednesday in an alley behind the 400 block of E. Biddle St. The woman was treated at Mercy Medical Center.

Southern District

Burglary: A stereo amplifier, two stereo speakers, a BB rifle, three compact discs and jewelry, all valued at more than $1,500, were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 1000 block of W. Lombard St.

Robbery: A gunman robbed Pratt Wigs in the 2000 block of W. Pratt St. of less than $200 Wednesday.

Woodlawn Precinct

Shooting: A man and woman were walking in the first block of Walden Cypress Court about 10 p.m. Wednesday when a gunman shot the woman in the abdomen. She was taken by ambulance to Maryland Shock Trauma Center and was in serious condition yesterday. Police said they were seeking the victim's former boyfriend.

Robbery: A gunman fired a warning shot at an employee of Domino's pizza in the 7400 block of Liberty Road and robbed the business of cash about 1 a.m. Wednesday.

Parkville Precinct

Burglary: Two bikes valued at more than $1,000 were stolen Wednesday from a storage shed in the 1900 block of Mountain Road.

Robbery: A man was in the 1900 block of E. Joppa Road about 1: 45 p.m. Wednesday when a gunman stole his watch and $97, all valued at more than $260. The gunman drove away in a car occupied by two other men.

Towson Precinct

Robbery: A man robbed Encore Books in the 6300 block of York Road of less than $100 about 5: 15 p.m. Tuesday.

Robbery/arrest: Shortly after a man with a knife robbed a cashier at the Giant supermarket in the 6300 block of York Road about 10 p.m. Tuesday, Officer Mary Engel-Eyler and her dog, Talon, tracked the suspect and arrested him nearby. Money believed taken in the robbery was recovered.

Robbery: A Morgan State University student was at Cross Campus Drive and York Road about 8: 20 p.m. Wednesday when three men robbed him of his duffel bag containing textbooks and other property, all valued at about $100.
