Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Southern District

Burglary: A television, stereo equipment and telephones, all valued at more than $3,000, were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 2700 block of Wedgeworth Lane.

Assault/arrest: A 55-year-old man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault on suspicion of spraying an 11-year-old boy with pepper spray Tuesday in the 1500 block of Filbert St.

Western District

Shooting: Two men were arguing in the 2900 block of Presstman St. about 3 a.m. Tuesday when one of them shot the other in the neck. The victim, 24, was in serious condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center yesterday.

Southwestern District

Carjacking: Two men, one with a handgun, forced the driver of a 1991 Ford Probe, tags EEG 862, out of his vehicle at Willard and West Lombard streets around noon Tuesday and drove away.

Northwestern District

Shooting: A man was standing in the 4700 block of Gwynn Oak Ave. about 7: 10 p.m. Tuesday when a gunman approached. The gunman shot him in the left thigh. The victim was treated at Sinai Hospital.

Central District

Theft: A man stole $40 worth of body lotion from the Body Shop at the Gallery in the 200 block of E. Pratt St. on Tuesday.

Assault/arrest: A man struck another man in the head with a brick Tuesday night during an argument in the first block of Holliday St. An off-duty city policeman witnessed the assault and arrested the suspect. The victim declined to be treated for a minor head injury.

Eastern District

Stabbing/arrest: Two men were arguing in the 2400 block of E. Preston St. about 2 a.m. Tuesday when one of them stabbed the other in the right thigh with a knife. The victim was in critical, stable condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital yesterday. Arrested and charged with assault with intent to murder and held at the Central Booking and Intake Center is Mark A. Bailey, 29, of the 2400 block of E. Preston St.

Theft: More than $70 was stolen from a purse left on a couch in a house in the 1500 block of Brentwood Ave. on Tuesday. A known suspect was being sought.

Woodlawn Precinct

Home invasion/assault: Two men, one wearing a badge, forced their way into a house in the 3100 block of Mayfair Road about 9: 15 p.m. Tuesday, assaulted a man and his daughter and ransacked the house seeking money. After finding none, the men forced the victims into a bathroom and drove away in a white Dodge Shadow.

Essex Precinct

Burglary: Two diamond rings valued at more than $1,000 were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 2000 block of Ewald Ave.

Parkville Precinct

Robbery: A 13-year-old boy was riding his bike valued at more than $200 in the 8000 block of Chestnut Ave. Tuesdaywhen he was knocked to the ground by an older male who rode off on the bike. The thief left another bike.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered Hunt Valley Hobbies in the 10800 block of York Road on Tuesday after breaking a window and stole two model cars valued at nearly $700.
