October 26, 1997

A 13-year-old Taneytown boy who was struck by two vans after running into Baltimore Street was in good condition Friday evening at the Johns Hopkins Children's Center in Baltimore.

Taneytown police Chief Melvin E. Diggs said that Christian Cameron Fogus was either playing or fighting with other children at Baltimore Street and Baumgardner Avenue when he ran into the street at 4: 40 p.m.

Christian was hit by a van and then knocked into the path of another van coming from the opposite direction, Diggs said.

Police are investigating whether Christian might have been pushed into the street.
