South Carroll High School to mark 30th anniversary

October 23, 1997

South Carroll High School will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a public reception at 7: 30 p.m. Nov. 14.

The event is being planned by a committee of teachers and staff, past and present, including Laurie Lewis, Nancy Parker, Cindy Perouty-Byrne, Naudine Pheobus, Ruthann Pittinger, Bonnie McElroy, Sondra Reger, Ruth Shaw and Principal David Booz.

Displays, a program and catered food, with an anniversary cake, will be featured.

"It will actually be more fun than a class reunion because we can socialize with students and staff from 30 years instead of just one graduating class," said a committee member.

Anyone with materials for displays or ideas for the program or recognition may call Ruthann Pittinger in the high school office at 410-751-3575.

Commemorative T-shirts, designed by one of the school's art students, will be sold. Orders may be called into the school office.

The school is at 1300 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield.
