County police arrested a 14-year-old youth yesterday on charges of making a bomb threat at Southern High School Tuesday. It was the third such arrest at the school in three days.

Police said officials evacuated the school about 10: 30 a.m. after a threatening note was found. Yesterday, two students said that a 14-year-old wrote the note, police said.

Police interviewed the suspect, who confessed and was arrested, according to a report. He was being held at the Thomas J. S. Waxter Children's Center in Laurel.

Tuesday, a 13-year-old was arrested and charged with making a bomb threat Oct. 14, and a 17-year-old was arrested Monday and charged with making a bomb threat that day.

At least 23 bomb threats have been reported at county schools since school opened in August, police said.
