Ellicott City: 3000 block of Hearthstone Road: Someone tried to get into a house by breaking a basement window with a rock Monday. The attempt was unsuccessful.

Ellicott City: 8400 block of Grove Angle Road: A bow and arrow were stolen from a garage Tuesday.

Elkridge: 5800 block of U.S. 1: Police arrested a 34-year-old Elkridge man Tuesday and charged him with trying to steal a car.

Long Reach: 6300 block of Drystone Gate: Someone tried to break into a house Monday by entering through a garage.

Oakland Mills: 7300 block of Oakland Mills Road: A burgundy 1983 Honda Accord, Maryland license plate EEX-372, was stolen Monday.

Owen Brown: 9000 block of Snowden River Parkway: A silver 1997 Jeep Cherokee, Maryland license plate 980229M, was stolen Tuesday.

Owen Brown: 7300 block of Broken Staff: A maroon 1990 Honda Civic, Maryland license plate 793-BBA, was stolen Monday or Tuesday.

Town Center: 5500 block of Sterrett Place: Someone broke into the Jenny Craig weight loss studio on Monday and stole a television, fax machine and cash.
