Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Howard County.

Ellicott City: 9300 block of U.S. 40: Police said Jason's Liquor Store was robbed Friday by a man carrying a semiautomatic weapon.

Elkridge: 6200 block of U.S. 1: A High's store was robbed of cash Sunday.

Elkridge: 6300 block of Orchard Club Drive: Someone broke into a house through a rear bedroom window Friday. A videocassette recorder, compact discs, a compact disc changer, boom box and a book of checks were stolen.

Elkridge: 5800 block of U.S. 1: Someone stole two gas-powered saws and a nail gun Saturday.

Ellicott City: 9000 block of Chevrolet Drive: A maroon 1990 Chevrolet G10 van, Maryland license plate 118304, was stolen Thursday or Friday.

Ellicott City: 3600 block of Mill Lawn Court: A black 1994 Acura Vigor, Maryland license plate 404-AWS, was stolen Friday or Saturday.

Owen Brown: 7000 block of Cradlerock Way: A man attempted to rob a woman of her purse Saturday at the corner of Bendbough Court and Cradlerock Way. Minutes later, a woman's purse was snatched on Cradlerock Way. Police are looking for the man.

Town Center: Little Patuxent Parkway and Wincopin Circle: Three men were robbed of their money while in a parking lot Saturday night.

Woodbine: 2900 block of Route 94: Someone entered a vacant house Saturday or Sunday. Nothing was taken and there was no sign of forced entry.

Clarksville: 12100 block of Clarksville Pike: A 1993 Toyota truck, Maryland license plate 9ZA406, and a 1996 Ford F350 truck, Maryland plate 49E382, were stolen Wednesday or Thursday.
