1 The Ravens couldn't stop the run, which gave the Dolphins a balanced offense: 148 yards rushing, 189 yards passing.

2 The Dolphins were effective on third-down plays, converting nine of 13, and had the ball for 35: 12, compared to the Ravens' 24: 48.

3 The Ravens dropped too many passes and lost two fumbles, the first of which led to a Dolphins touchdown in the first quarter.

They said it

The winners

"I really think that Baltimore was so afraid of our passing game that it opened up things for our running backs. I just wanted to get it going, and the guys up front did a great job blocking."

Karim Abdul-Jabbar, Dolphins running back

the losers

"We have to have some attitude adjustment around here. Some people are saying there is no urgency, no sense of panic, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes to turn this around."

Stevon Moore, Ravens safety
