Bennett (3 goals), Terps stun Princeton, 7-2

Senior forward Nadine Bennett had a hat trick and freshman forward Carla Tagliente had two goals to lead No. 3 Maryland (15-1) past visiting No. 5 Princeton (9-1), 7-2, in college field hockey yesterday.

Bennett became the first Terp since Lisa Buente in 1990 to score at least 20 goals in a season. Maryland outshot Princeton, 23-8.

Washington College 1, College of Notre Dame 0, 2OT: Mandy Pare (Perryville) scored her first goal of the season with 4: 36 left in the second overtime to lift Washington College over visiting College of Notre Dame.

Gettysburg 3, Goucher 2: Freshman forward Jenni White recorded a goal and an assist to lead Gettysburg (9-3) over Goucher (2-10).
