Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Southwestern District

Bank robbery: A man robbed the NationsBank branch in the 1500 block of Joh Ave. of an undisclosed amount of money about 9 a.m. yesterday after giving a teller a holdup note. No weapon was displayed.

Southern District

Robbery: A man with a knife robbed Wendy's restaurant in the 600 block of E. Patapsco Ave. of an undisclosed sum about 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Theft: Police were seeking two vendors who entered a home in the 1500 block of Battery Ave. on Tuesday on the pretense of using the telephone and stole the occupant's pants and $200.

Western District

Officer assaulted: A woman allegedly scratched Officer Mark Camarote on the face and right arm when he arrested her Tuesday in the 1200 block of McCulloh St. Shantane A. Wilson, 24, of the 1200 block of McCulloh St. was charged with assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and hindering an officer. Camarote was treated at Mercy Medical Center and released.

Northwestern District

Robbery: A woman was in the 4400 block of Kathland Ave. about 10 p.m. Tuesday when two men, one of whom implied he had a handgun, robbed her of her purse containing cash and property of unknown value.

Stolen truck: A city-owned 1994 Peter Bilt truck with tags LG43367 was stolen Tuesday in the 5000 block of Reisterstown Road. The driver left the keys in the ignition.

Eastern District

Stabbing: A 20-year-old man was walking in an alley behind the 200 block of E. Lafayette Ave. about 11 p.m. Tuesday when he was attacked by another man who stabbed him in the back with a knife.

Central District

Burglary: A camera, tripod and coins, all valued at more than $1,000, were stolen between Sunday and Tuesday from the John Eager Howard Recreation Center in the 2100 block of Brookfield Ave. in Reservoir Hill.

Cockeysville Precinct

Robbery: Police were seeking two well-dressed men who were reportedly selling magazines about 7: 30 p.m. Tuesday in the 1500 block of Nelton Road when they entered an elderly man's home, bound his hands and feet with necktiesand robbed him of $500.

Towson Precinct

Robbery: A woman in the back yard of her home in the 1800 block of Edgewood Road about 9: 30 p.m. Tuesday was assaulted by a man who robbed her of her purse containing cash and property, all valued at more than $500.

North Point Precinct

Stolen car: A black with gray trim 1992 Chevrolet S10 pickup truck with tags 8SE744 and valued at $15,000 was stolen Tuesday from Morgate Road near Ordman Road.

White Marsh Precinct

Robbery: A 29-year-old man was about to enter his car in the 4800 block of Berryhill Circle in Perry Hall about 9 p.m. Tuesday when two men, one with a handgun, robbed him of a cellular phone, compact disc player and pager, all valued at more than $2,000. The victim was struck with the gun when he struggled with the gunman.

Homicide victim identified: Police have identified Benjamin Wilburn as the 16-year-old boy who died at Johns Hopkins Hospital after being shot near his home in the 1700 block of N. Broadway on Tuesday afternoon.

Slaying victim named: Police have identified Robert Williams, 43, of the 2500 block of Robb St. as the man who was stabbed about 1 a.m. Monday near the city police kiosk at Harborplace in the 500 block of Light St. He died three hours later at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
