Sarah Zuckerman (two goals, assist) and Jess Gaither (two goals, assist) led Severna Park's 8-0 field hockey rout of South River yesterday, which gave Falcons coach Lil Shelton her 300th career victory.

The shutout was the 10th of the season for No. 3 Falcons, (12-1), who outshot the Seahawks, 27-0. The Falcons have allowed only three goals all season.

"I just feel fortunate be surrounded by two good coaches and a lot of good parents who've helped put this all together," said Shelton, whose career record is 300-38-5 (.874) over 23 years. "I think my girls were a little fired up because of the occasion. Our execution was perfect."

South River played the second half without starting goalkeeper Annie Ward (20 saves), who left the game with a knee injury and the Falcons broke open the game with six second-half goals.
