Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Northeastern District

Robbery try/shooting: A man was shot in the left hip when two other men tried to rob him of his radio about midnight Monday in the 2500 block of Harford Road. The 26-year-old victim was in stable condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital yesterday.

Shooting: A 20 year-old man was walking in the 4500 block of Marble Hall Road about 10 p.m. Monday when he heard shots and felt a pain in his lower back. The man was treated for a gunshot wound of the left buttock at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Southern District

Burglary: A leather jacket and a 23-speed bike, valued at nearly $1,200, were stolen Monday from a house in the 1000 block of Riverside Ave.

Western District

Shooting: A man was sitting on the front porch of a house in the 500 block of N. Pulaski St. about 9: 30 p.m. Monday when an occupant of a passing van fired a gunshot that struck the victim in the left buttock. He was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Eastern District

Assault/arrest: A 14-year-old boy was arrested after he pointed an unloaded Smith & Wesson .44-caliber Magnum handgun at a 10-year-old boy in the 1000 block of N. Central Ave. on Saturday. The accused was being held at the Northern District juvenile detention unit. It was not immediately known how the suspect came into possession of the weapon.

Southwestern District

Shooting: Shortly after a man exited a Mass Transit Administration bus in the 500 block of Brisbane Road about 1 a.m. Monday, a gunman demanded his money. When the victim refused, the gunman shot him in the left side. The victim was treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Robbery: A woman was seated in her car in the 3200 block of W. Mount St. on Sunday when a man forced her out of the vehicle and robbed her of jewelry valued at more than $3,000.

Northwestern District

Burglary: A camcorder, compact disc player, stereo equipment, telephone and jewelry, all valued at nearly $2,000, were stolen Monday from an apartment in the 3900 block of Wabash Ave.

Central District

Theft/arrest: A man was arrested Monday after breaking into a 1991 Mitsubishi pickup truck in the 400 block of Key Highway and stealing a cellular phone and a radar detector, all valued at nearly $400. The owner of the property witnessed the theft and detained the suspect. A passing FBI agent, who declined to be named, handcuffed the suspect and waited until police arrived.

Burglary: A television, videocassette recorder and $300 -- the total loss valued at $640 -- were stolen Monday from a house in the 200 block of W. Read St.

Robbery: A gunman robbed a woman of $10 in the 1200 block of Pennsylvania Ave. about 10 p.m. Monday.

Burglary: A 25-inch television, stereo equipment and two videocassette recorders, all valued at $1,000, were stolen Monday from an apartment in the 4300 block of Orchard St.

North Point Precinct

Theft: A 1994 Hyundai Excel was parked at Dunmere Road and Holabird Avenue on Monday when someone stole the vehicle's rear window, valued at more than $100.

Theft: A videocassette recorder and $30, all valued at $180, were stolen Monday from an apartment in the 2600 block of Yorkway.

Essex Precinct

Robbery: A gunman robbed Bi-Rite Liquors in the 1500 block of Country Ridge Lane of an undisclosed sum of money about 9: 30 p.m. Monday.

White Marsh Precinct

Theft: Between Oct. 9 and Monday, someone stole nearly 40 flower vases from grave sites at Garden of Faith Memorial Gardens in the 5500 block of Trumps Mill Road.
