Armed man robs Woodbine convenience store, flees

A man robbed a Woodbine convenience store of an undisclosed amount of money late Sunday and fled on foot, state police said.

Police said the man walked into a 7-Eleven store in the 7600 block of Woodbine Road at 9: 54 p.m. and said, "This is a holdup."

The cashier removed a drawer from the register and put it on the counter, police said. The robber, who displayed a weapon, grabbed a small amount of money and fled across the store's parking lot, police said. The cashier was unhurt.

Police used dogs and a helicopter to search for the man but were unsuccessful.

Winfield: Firefighters responded at 8: 37 p.m. Friday to a wash detail in the 5600 block of Manor Drive. Units were out 30 minutes.

Lisbon: Winfield assisted Lisbon in Howard County at 7: 07 p.m. Thursday, responding to a brush fire in the 1400 block of Hoods Mill Road. Units were out 20 minutes.
