Severn man charged in robbery

Anne Arundel County police arrested a Severn man Saturday on charges he robbed a man at a pay phone in Glen Burnie.

Robert Hernandez, 34, of Crownsville told police he was on the phone at a Sunoco gas station in the 300 block of Hospital Drive about 5 p.m. holding money when a man walked up to him and tried to grab the bills.

Hernandez pulled away, but the man grabbed his hand, took the money and chased him from the phone, police said. Hernandez called police, who drove him around the area in search of his attacker. They found a man walking down Hospital Drive, and police arrested him and recovered the money.

Eric D. Pinkett, 22, of the 1800 block of Circle Road was charged with robbery.
