BMA unveils a Web site

October 12, 1997|By Karin Remesch

Information about the Baltimore Museum of Art is now available on the Internet.

In anticipation of "A Grand Design: The Art of the Victoria and Albert Museum," the BMA's exhibition of art and design that opens today, the museum is introducing a new Web site. The site -- www.artbma.org -- provides information about the museum, including details about permanent collections and changing exhibitions, museum membership, hours, directions and admission prices.

Currently, the major portion of the site is devoted to "A Grand Design." Visitors can learn more about the exhibition, view a selection of objects from the show, obtain information on the exhibition's many programs and events, and see some of the items offered in the "Grand Design" gift shop.

The Web site also is linked to VISTA ticketing, where visitors can order tickets to the exhibition online. The site also includes an interactive game to introduce children to "A Grand Design."
