New Homes

October 12, 1997

Today's 11 a.m. grand opening at Stone Manor in Eldersburg will feature children's activities and door prizes -- Baltimore Ravens and Washington Wizards tickets -- for adults who tour a furnished model home.

Gas cooking, heating and hot water as well as public water and sewer are standard in the Carroll County community, where Macks Homes is building eight different floor plans on 89 quarter-acre to half-acre lots.

The Westbrook, a 2,500-square-foot Colonial with a base price of $224,900, is the model at Stone Manor.

Flanking the two-story foyer are a 12-by-14-foot living room and a 10-by-10-foot library. Also on the entry level are a 12-by-13-foot dining room, 19-by-17-foot country kitchen with work island, powder and utility rooms and 19-by-14-foot family room.

Upstairs, the master suite has a walk-in closet with dressing area, 19-by-17-foot bedroom, linen closet and bath with dual vanities, soaking tub and separate shower. Other features include three additional bedrooms, a full hall bath and a linen closet.

For single-floor living, Macks offers the Fallstaff, a rancher with 1,700 square feet and a beginning price of $199,900.

For a starting price of $216,900, the Normandy is a 2,200-square-foot Colonial with one of its four bedrooms on the first floor.

In the entry-level master suite there is a walk-in closet, 17-by-13-foot bedroom, bath with linen closet, double vanities, separate shower and soaking tub.

The home also has a two-story foyer and a 14-by-12-foot family room.

All houses have an unfinished basement.

The model is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday through Wednesday. Take Interstate 695 to Liberty Road west (Route 26) to Sykesville Road north (Route 32) to a left on Bartholow Road to a right on Hodges Road to the sales center at the intersection of Hodges and Guilford Road.
