Waltye Doles, 93, secretary

Waltye Doles, a former secretary, died of heart failure Mondayat North Arundel Nursing Center in Anne Arundel County. The longtime Glen Burnie resident was 93.

The former Waltye Anderson was a Boston native who moved to Baltimore in the 1920s. She was a secretary for city public schools, the Maryland Training School for Girls in Glen Burnie and Andrews Air Force Base in Prince George's County from the late 1940s until the 1960s.

She married Dr. Maurice D. Doles in 1938, and the couple settled in Glen Burnie. Dr. Doles died in 1988.

Mrs. Doles enjoyed cooking, sewing, knitting and refinishing furniture. She was a member of the Dental Society Auxiliary, Stitch and Chatter, Needles and Pins and the Baltimore Chapter of Northeasterners Inc.

Services will be held at 11: 30 a.m. tomorrow at Nutter Funeral Home, 2501 Gwynns Falls Parkway in Baltimore.

She is survived by a daughter, Patricia M. Robinson of Jacksonville, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
