Joe Able completed seven of 12 passes for 234 yards and two touchdowns yesterday as third-ranked Lake Clifton (5-0) shut out Mervo, 14-0.

Lake Clifton held the Mustangs (3-2) to 65 total yards.

No. 9 Aberdeen 55, North East 0: Jermaine Skinner completed 6-for-9 passes for 148 yards with four touchdowns as the visiting Eagles (5-0) rolled.

Stephon Watson had three catches for 102 yards and two touchdowns for Aberdeen.

No. 11 Patterson 26, Southwestern 0: Running back Dante Faulkner rushed 11 times for 80 yards and two touchdowns, and quarterback Tremaine Lyle threw a 9-yard touchdown pass as the Clippers (4-1) cruised at home.

No. 14 City 33, Northern 14: Vince DeLoatch completed 7 of 12 passes for 102 yards and three touchdowns to push the host Knight (3-2) past the Wildcats (2-3).

City's LaMar Jones carried 21 times for 183 yards.

Northwestern 32, Carver 12: LeRoy Satchell ran for 223 yards on 30 carries to lead the visiting Wildcats (3-2) over the Bears (3-2). Jerry Marine had two sacks and two fumble recoveries.

Spalding 28, Gibbons 0: Allan Creveling ran for 63 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries as the Cavaliers (4-1) stomped the Crusaders (1-4). Creveling also had five tackles, an interception and a sack.

Howard 39, River Hill 6: John LaRoche and Jabraille Jackson combined for three touchdowns for host Howard (4-1).

River Hill fell to 0-5.

LaRoche and Jackson each totaled 93 yards on six passes and six catches, respectively. Gerald Smith had 16 carries for a 135-yards and two touchdowns.
