County police arrested a Pasadena man on assault charges Wednesday after their third visit to his house in four hours to settle domestic arguments.

Police were first called to the house in the 8400 block of Main Ave. shortly before 11 p.m. Tuesday, but when they arrived, Deborah S. Cary, 46, told officers her husband, Joseph, had left in a cab.

Mrs. Cary called again about four hours later, saying the fighting had started again, police said. Police tried to calm her and her husband, who eventually asked police to leave. The officers complied.

Ten minutes later, the couple's daughter called police. Police said they found a bruise around Mrs. Cary's left eye and arrested her husband, according to a report.

Joseph A. Cary, 42, was charged with assault.
