Realtor is accredited as buyer representative

Stephanie Appler of O'Conor, Piper & Flynn Realtors has been awarded the accredited buyer representative designation by the Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council.

She completed educational requirements for the title at a four-day seminar in Westminster. She also holds the Graduate Realtor Institute and certified residential specialist designations.

Appler works in the company's Hampstead office. Elk Run Vineyards and Winery won the 1997 Governor's Cup at the Maryland Wine Festival Sept. 20 and 21 at the Carroll County Farm Museum.

The vineyard's 1995 Vin de Jus Glace, a golden dessert wine in the style of a German Eisewein, won the Governor's Cup.

A 1995 Gewurtztraminer, also by Elk Run, won a gold medal as the second-highest scoring wine in the competition.

Elk Run is on Liberty Road west of Taylorsville.
